The Police Gazette Boxing Corporation (PGBC) is the successor to the bare-knuckle boxing sanctioning organization founded in 1881 doing business as “National Police Gazette,” “Police Gazette,” or “Richard K. Fox.” The organization suspended its bare-knuckle sanctioning activities in 1894, but the National Police Gazette parent organization continued on after that year, continues to this day, and is currently managed by National Police Gazette Enterprises, LLC (NPGE). NPGE and the Bare Knuckle Boxing Hall of Fame of Belfast, New York, (BKBHOF) formed PGBC on August 24, 2018, as a 501(c)(6) non-profit organization, dedicated to serving the sport of bare-knuckle boxing and to implementing safety measures for the protection of all boxers.
